Hi,
Mansoor here ... I am not part of any 350Z forum .... Hardly any as I am too busy with other things in life.
I bought the flex after I had a bit of a thought time with the Makita rotay but after I bought the flex I only used it on a G35 that I had ... And when I tried it on the Z ... It didn't seem to cut through so I went back to the rotary. I seem to be leaning more to the rotary, now that I have a bit more experience with it. Moreover, it is a lot faster to detail with it as compared to the flex. The only occasion I would go with a flex is when the paint is too soft, like it was on the G35.
From my experience working on hard paint (clio 182), the flex doesnt really cut very well and in my case it led to a lot of disappointment as i had invested alot in time and money and it didnt seem to work. Then i moved to the rotary again and it seemed to do the trick. Anyways, wish you the best with the detail.
