Gurge I'd like more insight on your mobile set-up thinking of renting a garage but hasno power or water and if i could put a set-up like yours on a wagon for three or four cars I'd be good, photos would help with description setup if able wouldyour equipment (pump & tank work on a bed like this - http://www.detrailers.com/node/18
We use our customers power, and when we don't have that available we use a generator. i originally wanted to go with the power inverter, but the generator was the cheaper route for use. I have used power inverters in the past with various items in a car (audio/video, external power source). It really just comes down to the specs of all your equipment you want to run witch will determine what size inverter, size and quantity of batteries you will need.
You have a small garage space in lindenhurst?? If you don't mind, i'd be very interested to check that out. Just to see what you get space wise for what kind of price. Not trying to be pushy or anything. But the fact you do the 9-5 and maintain a space to work is something I hadn't really considered as feasible for myself. So i'd be interested to see how you've got things set up. I assumed with a full time job i'd always be a mobile guy. If nothing else we can shoot the #### and talk shop for a few mins.

Take my cel number. If you got some time one day gimme a call. My real name is Bryan, but Gurge has been my nickname forever and all my friends use that. Oh and the business name is 'mr. sparkle' lol

sounds like a similar situation to myself. but you're like a year ahead of the curve it sounds like. This would technically be the start of my 2nd year doing this.

I"m fully mobile. I rent an apartment (which sucks). I can kinda maintain my own car there with rinseless / waterless washes. But for a full wash I need to take it to a friends house.

For the detailing work, it's always on site. Which is sometimes less then desirable. BUT you'd be shocked just how much stuff i can cram into my car. Occassionally I can bring a car to a friends house to work if I need to.
i detail PT as a second income to my 9-5. been doing it for 2 years now the same way you have. friends, co-workers and word of mouth. looking to market myself now and get busy soon. i have a small garage i rent in the industrial area in lindinhurst but want something better. do you work at home or in a garage somewhere?
hey whats up man. I live on the south shore also, west islip area. But my real job is in east meadow (insurance). most of my detailing work is through friends locally or through the real job (co-workers, attorneys that work for the insurance company etc).

Are you detailing full time or is it just side work?
